THE MARK OF A SUICIDE BOMBER
March 28, 2007
On normal days, these men are in charge of clearing sludge and debris from the streets of the city. This time, they had to remove the remains of the victims of the explosion so that the road could reopen to traffic.

On March 28 2007, a suicide bomber targeted the convoy of a leader of the Afghan secret services. No intelligence agent was hurt in the attack but the bomber left a bloody mark on the wall of this warehouse in front of the Joiy Sheer mosque, not far from one of Kabul’s busiest markets.
Pieces of torn flesh and the acrid smell of clotted blood confirm yet another massacre. Four people, plus the suicide bomber, died on this muddy street in the center of Kabul.
